  Great professor. His arms can be slightly distracting but that is okay. He curves at the end because I definitely did notttt get an actual B, I'll tell you that. All of the resources to get an A are there, he gives videos to watch before lectures, practice exams, practice homework, all of the grading keys. I just fell off mid semester lol

  Dr. Handy objectively lays everything out properly, but misses the "engaging" mark. Between spoonfeeding us coding content and dropping two of six assignments, I found myself ignoring the class until exams. Handy comes across as a robot presenting his same research papers with a few trick questions on repeat. Mildly more difficult 400 downgrade.

  I have had Dr. Handy twice, and I wish I could take more. He is kind and fair, and while his class is hard, he acknowledges that we are all upper-level econ students and curves final grades heavily to reflect that. His lectures are well-designed so students can best grasp the material. He is also so intelligent and can answer every question well.

  I enjoyed learning under Professor Handy for both ECON 400 and 470. He teaches remarkably well, frequently pausing during lectures to see if any student has questions. He is also very responsive on CampusWire, always answering students' questions. The practice problems he offered before every exam were very helpful in succeeding in his courses!

  Chris Handy is a moral and altruistic person. He shows that a man can be absolutely shredded and embrace a nerdy fascination with economics. What distinguishes Dr. Handy from his contemporaries is his infectious sense of humor; He's undeniably witty. His ability to spread laughter effortlessly is a rare and invaluable gift. Do the practice tests!

  Chris is a great professor, yet the classes he teaches have hard material. He cares about students' success and will curve the grades to adjust to the class distribution.

  Genuinely god bless this man, his class is ROUGH you will have to pay attention and take notes to learn the concepts. BUT there's only 6 homework and 3 tests throughout the whole class. AND he curves the final grades so that the average course grade is in the middle of the 'B' range and adjusts grades accordingly #stats. He is EXTREMELY helpful.

  One of the best professors I've had. Despite challenging material, he makes topics digestible. He is accessible (Campuswire) and answers questions in a way that students (not just economic experts) can understand. Exams are challenging but representative of class material (lots of practice problems). Attend office hours for help on assignments.

  Dr. Handy is great with explaining the topics in this difficult course and being available through office hours, after class, and on Campuswire to answer any questions you might have. While it can seem to be boring, he does a good job of using real-life studies and examples to make econometrics more meaningful.

  Professor Handy is a great professor who puts a lot of effort into teaching this course and gives us a lot of practice material as well. However, the content is hard and the exams were not easy. But he is very accessible outside of class and always does his best to answer questions when asked. Would definitely take a class with him again.

  He was a great professor. Super accomodating and no questions were stupid to him which was great. I personally did not use all the resources available like his office hours, but I'm sure they would've been great. He was really quick to reply on campuswire which was a life saver. You can tell he really wants us to succeeed. Would 100% take again.

  Professor Handy is by far my favorite econ professor. His willingness to work with his students and adjust exam difficulty/curve is greatly appreciated. Lectures are thorough and he provides plenty of resources. 470 is definitely a hard class, but as long as you put in the effort, there's no reason you can't learn a bunch and get a good grade.

  Everyone LOVES and is OBSESSED WITH Chris Handy. The way he structured 400 made a difficult class much more digestible. He offered plenty of resources to help students learn, was very organized, and was generous with the curve at the end. I'm walking away from 400 with a strong foundation in statistics and I highly recommend taking a class w/ him!

  Awesome professor and one of my favorite classes this semester. The smaller class size gives a lot more ops to ask questions imo!The class is weighed heavily on exams. But don't be scared because they reflect the class material and are fair. He's knowledgeable and super willing to answer any questions to help you out. Take this class if you can!

  Great professor who cares about his students but the course itself is kind of dry. Exams were a lot tougher/more conceptual than in-class problems and homework assignments, so make use of office hours if you can!

  This class was super tough but Professor Handy is a great teacher. He does videos that you must watch before class that are about 15 minutes or so before each class then goes back over it in class alongside practice problems. He does a curve at the end of the class as the tests are very hard. Overall just a great teacher teaching a tough course.
